Previous treatments failed to continuously control the disease

Muhammad, who is from Quetta, Pakistan, was diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in 2021. After multiple rounds of chemotherapy, he received a bone marrow transplant in 2024, only to relapse about 20 days later. The patient and his family contacted hospitals in multiple countries to explore the possibility of further treatment.

Promote communication into a specific diagnosis and treatment plan

The Jiahui team responded to the condition and proposed preliminary arrangements in the early communication. In early 2026, Muhammad came to Shanghai. On admission, the disease had already affected the lungs, pleura, and bones, and was accompanied by significant pain, fever, and weight loss; the medical team initiated treatment preparations after evaluation.

Support during treatment and hospitalization

In early April, he completed T cell collection and subsequently received bridging therapy, lymphocytic preconditioning and CAR-T infusion. During his hospitalization, the hospital assisted with Urdu communication through translation and written instructions, and also took care of his halal dietary needs, making daily communication during complex treatments smoother.

Examination changes and follow-up

PET-CT in early May showed that the lymph node lesions had shrunk, the lactate dehydrogenase index returned to normal, and the pain was also relieved. He returned to Pakistan on May 8 and the team arranged for a follow-up review. The reports documented early treatment responses and did not describe them as final cures.
