Questions to answer before you travel

How should I choose a hospital in Shanghai?

Start with the department needed for your condition, whether the hospital can review your records before travel, its language support, and a written estimate. A tertiary hospital rating does not establish suitability for every procedure. The receiving hospital decides whether it can accept your case.

Does a hospital listing mean a guaranteed appointment or partnership?

No. These pages describe publicly available hospital and specialist information. An appointment, a named specialist and any referral arrangement require confirmation from the hospital. Do not book flights until the hospital has confirmed the proposed visit.

What should I ask before choosing an international department?

Ask which campus and department will receive you, who assesses the records, what interpreting is available, what deposits and fees apply, and whether your specific insurance product is accepted for direct billing. International department charges can differ from ordinary public hospital tariffs.

Zoying provides coordination and information. The hospital decides diagnosis, treatment, acceptance and clinical fees. Hospital availability and policy conditions must be confirmed for your own case.
